Aquatic activities in Calvià
Throughout the year there are different aquatic activities led by monitors in the municipal swimming pools of Bendinat, Son Ferrer, Son Caliu, Santa Ponça, Peguera and Calvià. In the summer months, swimming and aquagym courses are also held in Magaluf and Es Capdellà.

Nordic walking routes in Calvià
This programme includes several stages guided by expert Nordic walking instructors. The routes run through urban and natural areas of the different population centres of the municipality. Nordic walking consists of walking using the propulsion of poles in the hands. It is an easy activity to learn, suitable for all population groups and very healthy, as it involves cardiovascular work with the intervention of a large number of muscle groups.

Physical activity for seniors
ICE and ‘the Llar de Calvià’ promote a physical activity programme for the elderly to transmit the importance of active and healthy ageing, through good life habits, the practice of physical exercise, among others.
- Gymnastics for the elderly
This programme is aimed at people with functional diversity. There is one personalised session (maximum two people) of 30 minutes per week. The duration of the programme is from September to June.

Thanks to this programme subsidised by the ICE and offered to public primary schools in the municipality of Calvià, children can enjoy a first contact with water activities and water sports. It is aimed at pupils in the first and second year of primary school and is carried out during the third term of the school year as curricular content in the subject of physical education.

Extracurricular and ‘Jocs Esportius Escolars’
‘Jocs Esportius Escolars’ are four extracurricular sports activities offered by the AMIPAs of the public nursery and primary schools, subsidised by the Institut Calvianer d’Esports. The programme is carried out from October to May and includes periodical days with the collaboration of the Direcció Insular d’Esports del Consell de Mallorca (Sports Department of the Consell de Mallorca).

The municipal sports schools are characterised by the development of sports education activities for initiation, development and specialisation outside school hours in municipal sports facilities. Their public prices favour children’s access to sport.

The summer sports campus organised by the ICE offers children the chance to enjoy leisure, sports and recreational activities, as well as various excursions during the summer holiday period. It also offers a canteen service and complementary activities.

This is a summer sports campus that includes a variety of activities (leisure and sports activities, crafts, workshops, music, dance, body expression, popular games, sports games, swimming pool…), adapted to the interests and ages of the participants.
The monitors are qualified people with extensive experience in the children’s and young people’s leisure time sector. Technical training days
The sports clubs of the municipality of Calvià carry out during the Christmas and Easter holidays and the summer months some technical training days for the boys and girls who train in them during the season. This activity promotes the practice of physical exercise among the youngest of the municipality and encourages sport as a healthy lifestyle habit.
