SCREENING OF THE DOCUMENTAL ‘SACAR PECHO’ AND DONATION HANDOVER TO THE SOLTI FOUNDATION
REGISTER HEREOn July 6th, Sa Societat will host the screening of ‘Sacar Pecho: Un viaje contra el miedo’ (Keeping a Stiff Upper Lip: A Journey Against Fear). This moving documentary, produced with the participation of the SOLTI Foundation, follows the inspiring trek of eight women diagnosed with breast cancer along Sa Travessa in the Serra de Tramuntana.
During the event, the Ajuntament de Calvià and the Fundación Calvià 365 will officially present a donation check of €3,800 to the SOLTI Foundation. Calvià blends sport and solidarity against breast cancer.

During the event, the Ajuntament de Calvià will officially present its €3,000 nominal grant. Additionally, the Fundación Calvià 365 will hand over the €849 raised through children’s solidarity races held during major local sports events: Challenge Peguera Mallorca 2025, Sant Silvestre Calvianera 2025, and Half Marathon Magaluf 2026. These funds will go entirely to SOLTI to support clinical research and continue empowering patients’ voices in the development of oncological treatments.

About ‘Sacar Pecho: Un viaje contra el miedo’ This award-winning Mallorcan production—featured at the Atlántida Film Fest, the Diada de Mallorca, and nominated for both the Goya and Forqué Awards—shares the poignant journey of eight women hiking across the Serra de Tramuntana after a breast cancer diagnosis. Their physical trek serves as a powerful metaphor for the emotional journey and collective effort required to face the disease, weaving their personal stories with the clinical perspective of the oncology medical team supporting them.
