The ISLA RACE 2023 arrives, a spectacular obstacle race in which, in addition to speed, characteristics such as skill, endurance, strength and technique are necessary.
Isla Race, which will be held on 7 May 2023, has achieved in just a few editions what many races dream of, consolidating itself as a benchmark in its field. The secret:
- A spectacular setting in which the race takes place, based in Port Adriano and running through the woods, green areas and avenues of the Calvian town of El Toro.
- A circuit design that ensures very attractive, challenging and sufficient obstacles to make the race very enjoyable and above all, to test our limits.
- A very careful organization and focused on the participants.
ISLA RACE has races in two distances, one of 6 km and the other of 12 km of challenge. In the third edition of Isla Race will highlight self-improvement, motivation, team spirit, fun, enthusiasm, companionship, effort, perseverance and dedication, values that make Isla Race is not just another race, but a lifestyle.
The 6km race offers two types, on the one hand the ‘Distance 6km’ in which all those who want to enjoy the race, can do so among friends and help between runners is allowed. On the other hand, the ‘Distance 6km Elite’ is made for the most competitive and fast runners, and help between runners is not allowed as it will be a direct reason for disqualification. These two categories will also be adapted in the 12km race, which will also add 2 more categories. On the one hand, the ‘Distance +12km FFCCS’ suitable for the security forces and emergency services and, on the other hand, ‘Distance 12km OCRA’ which is the qualifying race for the OCRA Spain league, following the OSO regulations.
Isla Race also has a Kids race, suitable for children between 4 and 15 years old. It will take place on the same day and place as the adults and will not be competitive. They will be assigned a decal bib number and will all receive a T-shirt and a commemorative race medal. It is a 750-metre circuit with a series of obstacles and tests adapted to their ages, which will be divided into categories. Children between 4 and 7 years old will be the first category to participate and will run one lap of the circuit (750m). Children between 8 and 10 years old will compete next and will also do a lap of the circuit. Finally, the older ones, between 11 and 15 years old, will run two laps of the circuit. At the end of the race there will be workshops for the little ones, where they will be able to draw, colour and do other activities.
